Frequently asked questions
Everything worth knowing before (and after) you take a test.
Is TestMyReaction free?+
Yes. Every test is free, requires no account, and runs entirely in your browser.
Where are my scores stored?+
Locally in your browser via localStorage. Clearing site data removes your history. Nothing is sent to a server.
How accurate is the reaction time test?+
Timing uses performance.now() with millisecond precision. Real-world results still depend on display refresh rate, input device, and browser scheduling — expect ±5–15 ms of noise.
What's a good reaction time?+
Average adults land between 200–270 ms on a simple visual stimulus. Under 200 ms is fast; under 170 ms is exceptional.
Can I use TestMyReaction on mobile?+
Yes, though touchscreen latency is higher than a mouse or keyboard. Aim Trainer and Typing Speed work best on desktop.
Do you use cookies or tracking?+
No cookies, no analytics, no third-party trackers. See the Privacy page for details.
Can I share or embed my results?+
Not yet. Scores stay on your device. Screenshot sharing works today; an export feature is on the roadmap.
